About me
Barry Seemungal is a consultant neurologist with a specialist and research interest in dizziness and eye movement problems due to ear, eye and brain disorders including multiple sclerosis, stroke and ataxia.
He regularly lectures healthcare professionals about managing problems of dizziness, ataxia and eye movement disorders, both in the UK and abroad, including teaching sessions at the Royal College of Physicians in London, at European Neurological meetings and at BMJ masterclasses in India.
He completed a PhD in Vestibular Neurosciences at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London and trained in clinical neurology in London.
In addition to being part of the Trust's acute neurology rota, he provides an acute vertigo service to St Mary's Hospital, including acute referrals on the Major Trauma Unit, at St Mary’s Hospital.

Neuro-Otology: I am an expert in disorders of balance, eye movements and dizziness due to ear, eye and brain disorders including multiple sclerosis, nystagmus, stroke, ataxia, trauma, migraine and BPPV.
