About me
Dr Martin Wade is a Consultant Dermatologist in London, with a special interest in hair loss, scalp conditions, skin cancer and acne.
Dr Wade has conducted research on hair loss including male pattern baldness, female hair loss, alopecia, alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia and scarring alopecia.
As an Australian-trained Dermatologist, Dr Wade is experienced in treating skin cancer and melanoma (including early detection and prevention) through his Dermatological experience in Australia which included working at one of the major melanoma units. He performs full skin assessments and mole checks and is able to perform cryotherapy if required.
At The London Skin and Hair Clinic Dr Martin Wade also offers phototherapy treatment, iontophoresis treatment and allergy patch testing.
Dr Wade also consults on all General Dermatology including the diagnosis and treatment of acne, rosacea, psoriasis and eczema.
Dr Wade holds full registration with the UK General Medical Council (GMC), is on the British Specialist Register for Dermatology, a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and an International Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is recognized by all UK insurance companies.
Dr Wade’s NHS post is with Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust at Queens Hospital where he is the Education Lead for Dermatology and Lead Clinician for the Skin Cancer MDT (multi-disciplinary team).
