Dr. Jacqueline Doyle,
BSc (Hons), PhD, ClinPsyD, CPsychol
Jackie is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist working both in the NHS and private sector.
She began her career conducting psychological research at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. She was awarded a PhD from University College London, based on a series of studies investigating emotional well-being in children and adolescents attending elite schools for the performing arts.
In 2002, Jackie graduated as a clinical psychologist at the University of East London. Since this time she has worked in a variety of medical settings, taking up senior positions in both Central and North West London Mental Health Foundation Trust (CNWL) and University College London Hospitals. She has worked with people affected by a range of health problems and difficulties, including cancer, stroke, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, weight management, chronic pain, gynaecological and obstetric difficulties, peri-natal and post-natal anxiety and depression. Jackie always liaises with the relevant professional responsible for ongoing medical care to ensure a holistic care package is provided.
Jackie has significant experience in providing psychological therapy to people across the lifespan, with expertise in working with children, adolescents and adults. She makes use of a range of evidence-based psychological models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), family therapy and third wave mindfulness based interventions. Alongside, her qualifications in clinical psychology she is trained to teach the renowned mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) programme. She has developed a programme specifically for teenagers and has taught many adolescents to make use of meditational and mind-training techniques to enhance concentration, performance and well-being.
Jackie remains actively involved in research and training. She supervises junior psychologists and runs courses for health care professionals on communication and behaviour change skills.
Jackie is passionate about psychology and finding new ways to help people manage the uncertainty and stresses that life brings. She seeks to live and work following values such as integrity, honesty and a respect for human dignity.
