About me
Prof. Arun Iyer is a Consultant ENT Surgeon and Otologist at NHS Lanarkshire and Professor at the University of Glasgow. He is Course Director for several postgraduate ENT courses, including temporal bone, endoscopic ear surgery, emergency ENT, and head and neck dissection.
He specialises in minimally invasive and endoscopic ear surgery and serves as Executive Board Member and Outcomes Lead for the International Working Group in Endoscopic Ear Surgery (IWGEES). He is President-Elect of the British Society of Otology, a Council Member of the Royal Society of Medicine (Otology), and an examiner for the FRCS and MRCS.
Prof. Iyer has published widely, presents internationally, and has a particular interest in quality-of-life outcomes in otolaryngology. He is actively involved in charitable and sustainability initiatives, for which he received the NHS Lanarkshire Global Citizenship Award.
