Research interests

Mr Packham has an active research interest including shoulder instability and dislocations, rotator cuff repair surgery, the management of clavicle and humeral fractures, injuries of the acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) as well as Pec Major and Biceps injuries. He has published on a number of subjects in the peer review literature including sports injuries, joint replacement and hospital infection.

Personal interests

Mr Packham maintains a keen sporting interest and has been involved competitively in a number of sports including athletics and rugby. He has international qualifications in sailing (RYA) and Scuba diving (PADI) and is a qualified ski instructor (BASI).

Publications

Mr Packham has published research covering the spectrum of shoulder surgery including sports injuries and arthritis and shoulder replacement.

Courses offered to GPs

Mr Packham is available to provide lectures, small group instruction or advice for GPs and Allied Health Professionals on any shoulder and upper limb issues as well as practical skills such as joint injections.
