Dr Jennifer Jones studied medicine at The Royal Free Hospital in London. She trained as a Dermatologist in London at St Mary’s, Chelsea and Westminster and University College Hospitals. She also trained in the dermatology departments , of the University of Miami, Auckland and Barcelona and completed her training in 2006. She has published and lectured internationally in the field of Dermatology and is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists. She has been an NHS Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital since 2007, where she is training programme director, an educational supervisor to trainees and a consultant appraiser.
Dr Jones has a specialist interest in skin cancer and eczema as well as general dermatology including acne. Her other clinical interests include alopecia (hair loss) and in 2013 she set up a monthly specialist clinic at the Royal Free Hospital. She was treasurer for the British Hair and Nail Society (BHNS) for 10 years and co founder of London Hair Specialists. She edited the hair and scalp chapter of the 4th edition of “Differential diagnoses in Dermatology” and has published in peer reviewed journals
Dr Jones also lived and worked in South America for four years and is a fluent Spanish speaker.
