About me

Dr Jennifer Jones studied medicine at The Royal Free Hospital in London and also qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree, in 1991. She trained as a Dermatologist in London at St Mary's, Chelsea and Westminster and University College London Hospitals. She also trained in the dermatology departments, of the University of Miami, Auckland and Hospital Clinic in Barcelona. She completed her specialist training in 2006.
She has published and lectured internationally in the field of Dermatology and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, British Association of Dermatologists, British Society for Skin Care in Immunocopromised Individuals and British Hair and Nail Society, . She has been an NHS Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital since 2007, where she was training programme director, for 15 years and an educational supervisor to trainees. She has also been a consultant appraiser for 15 years
Dr Jones has a specialist interest in skin cancer and eczema as well as general dermatology including acne. Her other clinical interests include alopecia (hair loss). She was treasurer for the British Hair and Nail Society (BHNS) for 10 years and co founder of London Hair Specialists. She edited the hair and scalp chapter of the 4th edition of Differential diagnoses in Dermatology and has published in peer reviewed journals
Dr Jones also lived and worked in South America for four years and speaks Spanish..
