About me
James is an experienced specialist knee surgeon who works in the NHS at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Southmead Hospital. He is currently the Knee Lead and Co-lead of the Major Revision Centre. He has previously been Specialty Director for orthopaedic surgery at North Bristol NHS Trust.
He is a founding partner of Knee Specialists. All areas of knee treamtent are covered from assessment, imaging, non-operative and surgical intervention.
James is involved in research through the Bristol Knee Group and with Bristol University, where as an Honorary Lecturer teaches medical students. James was on the BASK Executive as Secretary and Education Chair and is the President of the Biological Knee Society. James teaches registrars and fellows at Southmead Hospital where he also receives visiting national and international consultants. Wider afield he lectures both nationally and internationally and is a member of two national and one international consensus groups which establish the best current medical practice management in a number of subspecialty areas of knee surgery.
