About me

Mr Calvert has been a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals and Spire Liverpool Hospital since 2008. He was Clinical Lead of the department for 5 years until 2023. He is the regional Clinical Lead for Urology for the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. He chairs the national Audit Steering Group for the British Association of Urological Surgeons.

Mr Calvert trained in Cambridge, Nottingham, Norwich and London. He is lead for kidney stones at Liverpool University Hospital NHS FT.

He is a past Secretary of BAUS endourology National Executive Committee and was a member of the NICE guidelines committee for kidney stones.

He treats general urological problems and has a sub specialty interest in kidney stone treatment and prevention.
