About me

I have been a consultant at the Cardiothoracic Unit Great Ormond Street Hospital since March 2006 and have been the Head of clinical service for Cardiothoracic surgery since 2015. The cardiothoracic unit has been achieving results that are much higher than predicted for the fourth year running according to the findings of the National Heart disease audit (2019 summary).
I regularly lecture at international meetings and am member of several professional societies and have authored or co-authored in more than 70 manuscripts and book chapters.
I have been also supporting congenital heart programs in the UK and abroad and have been operating there on regular basis (Serbia, Germany, France, Spain and Turkey)
I specialise in surgical treatment of the whole spectrum of congenital heart defects from complex neonatal heart surgery to operations on adults with congenital heart defects (GUCH) and have been achieving outstanding result for my patients.
