About me
I have been a Consultant Urologist for over 15 years and an invited Member of Council at the Royal College of Surgeons. I am Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons and Chairman of the Court of Examiners. Until recently I was Joint College representative on the National SAC and National Curriculum Lead for Urology. I undertake a wide range of Urological procedures including a Robotic (Da Vinci) Radical Prostatectomy for Prostate Cancer. I deal routinely with Kidney, Bladder, Testicular and Prostate Cancers. I use multi-parametric pre-biopsy MRI for all patients with suspected prostate cancer. Additionally I deal with recurrent urinary tract infections, 'water-work' problems for men, Erectile dysfunction and fertility issues (including vasectomies and vasectomy reversal). I have an interest in the use of lasers in Urology including the use of a holmium laser to deal with kidney stones.
