About me
I was appointed a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in Oxford in 2009. I was previously a consultant in Basingstoke. I undertook my training in Oxford, Glasgow, Cambridge, London and the South East and Brisbane.
My main areas of interest are pelvic floor problems (incontinence, obstructed defaecation/ constipation and prolapse), endometriosis and proctology including anal fissures and haemorrhoids. I am interested in newer treatments including HALO for haemorrhoids.
I am interested in minimally invasive technique, having spent a fellowship year in Australia learning advanced laparoscopic surgery. I am doing single port laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery mainly for cancer cases.
I have been Clinical Director for Surgery for Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2018.
I live in Oxford with my wife and two children.
