About me

I am a great believer in the role of research and innovation in medicine. I am actively engaged in projects that seek to improve how lung cancers are diagnosed and staged, as well as how they are treated, so that we can help patients regain their quality of life as fast as possible. I developed the endobronchial ultrasound service at UCLH for use primarily in detecting lung cancer, and I can see a future in which we will be able to use stem cells as vectors in gene therapy for lung cancers.

Areas of interest

Assessment of patients with chest complaints and abnormal chest X-rays. Lung cancer, endobronchial ultrasound, medical research.
