Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist

Dr.Keith Johnston graduated with honors in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, Ireland in 1995. Then rotated through St.James and the Rotunda Hospitals, before returning to work in Northern Ireland in most of the major hospitals. He acquired his membership from the “Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynecologists” RCOG in 2000.

Wishing to further his surgical skills in the developing field of Laproscopy or “keyhole” surgery so under took 2 1⁄2 year fellowship in this field in the one of the leading training facilities in Australia, Sydney Womens Endosurgery Centre (SWEC). After completing his fellowship in advanced laproscopic gynecological surgery, he returned to Northern Ireland and took up his Consultants post.

He was the Chair of the Irish Gynecological Endoscopic Society 2010-2012, has published widely and presented extensively at international meetings throughout North America, Australia and in Europe.
He is currently a full time NHS consultant in Antrim Area Hospital with a very busy public & private Obstetric and Gynecological practice. His Practice encompasses all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology with a special interest is the minimal access gynecological surgery.
