About me
Mr Giles Davies is a Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon and is the Lead Surgeon and Director of Breast Surgery, Cancer Board Chairman and Board Member at Cromwell Hospital, the Specialist Centre for Breast Cancer Care for BUPA.
The Cromwell is an International Centre of excellence for Cancer care and offers world leading complex breast reconstruction surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and advanced precision genetic testing and screening for cancer in partnership with Genesis Care including the most advanced Radiotherapy facilities in the UK (MRIdian MRI guided radiotherapy). In his role as Chairman of the Cancer Board at the Cromwell Hospital, he oversees the quality assurance and standards of performance across the Breast Cancer service.
Mr Davies also leads the Breast Service at the Basinghall Clinic in the City which launched in 2021, which offers breast screening and integrated care for women's health integrating primary and secondary care services working alongside each other.
Mr Davies attended Harrow School and St George's Hospital Medical School and trained at the Royal Marsden where he completed his MD thesis.
Following a plastic surgery fellowship in Australia, Mr Davies was then appointed in 2007 as an NHS Consultant at Kingston Hospital and the Royal Marsden where he still holds an honorary contract. Since 2016 he has worked fully in private practice and is based at the Cromwell Hospital . He is passionate about outcomes and particularly patient experience and using data to measure patient related outcomes and quality markers relevant to patients and has been awarded a prestigious iwantgreatcare certificate of excellence for 5 years in a row and Doctify Certificate of excellence in 2024
