About me

Michelle Thomson obtained a BSc Honours degree from Queens University, Canada in 1994. She then qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School and trained in general medicine to become a Member of the Royal College of Physcians of London.

She subsequently completed her specialist training in Dermatology in the West Midlands and was then appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist to the Birmingham Skin Centre at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust.

She has a practice in all asepcts of general dermatology, with special interests in skin cancer, dermatological surgery and lasers. Her publications include papers on clinical dermatology and skin cancers. She has given several National and International presentations and co-authored chapters in textbooks. She is also a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and the British Society for Dermatological Surgery.
