About me
Dr Clive Onnie is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician at the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Free and University College Medical School with a private practice at the Wellington Hospital and the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth.
He qualified from the London Hospital Medical School with distinction and undertook his postgraduate training in the North West Thames Region based at St Mark’s Hospital. He has a first class honours degree in pharmacology, undertook a Masters in Medical Science at the Hammersmith hospital in 2001 and completed a PhD at Guy’s Hospital in the genetics of inflammatory bowel disease where he was awarded a Digestive Diseases Foundation Research Fellowship.
He has published extensively in international peer reviewed journals including Nature Genetics and Gastroenterology. His areas of expertise are in the management of inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome, utilising both conventional and alternative approaches, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
