About me

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the world renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
My Post graduate training was on the Severn Training Scheme with a Fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and tumours at the Royal Perth Hospital, Perth, Australia

My practice is in the treatment of hip and knee arthritis of all age groups.This includes partial and total joint replacements.


As well as performing primary joint replacements I specialise in revision hip and knee replacements for all causes including loosening, instability, fracture and infection.
I am part of the Oxford Bone Infection Unit.

I am active in research and am the Principal Investigator on several trials looking at the outcomes and treatment of patients for primary and revision arthroplasty surgery.

I am also involved in looking at new techniques and technologies to try and improve patient outcomes and function post joint replacement like OPS, (Optimised Positioning System).

I am a regular faculty member of National and International meetings about hip and knee pathology.
