About me

I am a Consultant in Pain Medicine with clinical experience spanning over 3 decades. I trained in East Yorkshire and Warwickshire Schools of Anaesthesia in the UK and did Fellowship in Pain Medicine from the University of Western Ontario, Canada (2005-06).

I believe in and practice evidence based pain medicine encompassing the bio-psycho-social aspects. I have a special interest in minimally invasive injection therapies, and am skilled in performing ultrasound and x-ray guided pain injections.

I have authored 5 books, written chapters and have many journal publications. My research interest includes low back pain, pain relief after knee surgery, opioids in chronic pain, and mental defeat in chronic pain.
