About me

I specialise in the management of arrhythmias ranging from simple palpitations to complex arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. I deal with a wide range of symptoms that may be associated with arrhythmia from palpitations to blackouts

I have a particular interest in atrial fibrillation and the role of ablation in managing this condition.

I graduated in both Physiology (1990) and Medicine (1993) with honours from Birmingham University. I trained in general cardiology at various specialist cardiac units in London, before undertaking research and further training in electrophysiology in London and New York. I was appointed a consultant in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology (heart rhythm disorders) in 2006 to the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust primarily to expand ablation for atrial fibrillation. I am now part of one of the largest arrhythmia care groups in Europe which has outcomes comparable to global centres of excellence.
I am interested in the potential of innovative digital health technologies to transform healthcare. I have completed a a Masters in digital health leadership delivered by Imperial College/ Harvard University. I am the clinical director for digital health at the Royal College of Physicians London- national role to drive change in digital healthcare.
