Specialises in
- Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy
About me
I have many years' experience working psychotherapeutically having first qualified (a) in1989 as an Advanced Psychodynamic Counsellor at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation, London; (b) in 1996 as a Transpersonal Psychotherapist; and (c) in 2001 as a Jungian Analyst/Analytical Psychologist. Dr. Carl Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist himself and colleague of Dr. SIgmund Freud. My particular interest is in enabling my patients to explore what lies beneath ordinary human actions and repetitive patterns of behaviour, to try to understand how the past affects present day relationships outwardly and inwardly, consciously and unconsciously, and if possible to come to terms with problems and help to alleviate distressful emotions and feelings. This may involve looking more deeply at life experiences, dreams, and engaging with unconscious and imaginative processes including visualisation and bodywork.
