About me
I, Mr Alak Pal MD FRCOG am a consultant Urogynaecologist and general gynaecologist at the Clementine Churchill Hospital Harrow, Princess Margaret Hospital Windsor and Spire Thames Valley Hospital Wexham.
My special interest and expertise are in urogynaecology involving management of uterine and vaginal prolapse, and of urinary problems in women and I am a registered member of the British Society of Urogynaecologists BSUG.
My general gynaecology interests include management of pelvic pain including endometriosis, ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids. I offer both key-hole and open surgery, and major operations like abdominal hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy and myomectomy (removal of fibroids saving the uterus)
I am an accredited member and trainer with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG). I provide colposcopy service for abnormal smears and bleeding, and offer cervical smears for reassurance.
I am interested in teaching and training and am an examiner for Part 3 MRCOG examinations.
