About me

Mr Angus Lewis qualified in medicine from St Mary's Hospital London in 1994, having previously graduated from Bristol Polytechnic with BSc (Hons) degree in applied biological sciences. He proceeded with basic surgical training at King's College Hospital and then specialised in Orthopaedic training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) at Stanmore. He studied cartilage transplantation techniques in lower limb joints under Professor Bentley. Following a year of research, he proceeded onto the Orthopaedic registrar training programme at the RNOH. During the latter part of training he did a one-year Fellowship in Pelvic and Acetabular Trauma reconstruction at St George's Hospital in London.

He was appointed at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust in 2007 specialising in Pelvic and Acetabular trauma reconstruction and complex primary and revision hip arthroplasty. Since being appointed there he has set up the Acute pelvic trauma service at the North west Thames Major Trauma Centre based at St Mary's Hospital. He has also established the tertiary complex primary and revision hip arthroplasty service at Charing Cross Hospital.

Mr Lewis began working at The London Hip Unit in 2013 and joined as a full-time consultant in 2015.
