About me

Dr Jesse Kumar is a Specialist Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Medicine.

Dr Kumar was appointed as a Consultant Endocrinologist in 2006. He held significant posts as Lead Physician, Clinical Director and Lead for Diabetes Commissioning. Dr Kumar has special interests in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Medical Weight Loss. He leads specialist clinics for Thyroid, Radioiodine, Thyroid Eye Disease, Insulin Pump clinic and antenatal diabetes.

Dr Kumar has established interest in research and has been the Principle Investigator (PI) and Sub-Investigator (SI) on world-wide multicentre trials since 2006 including phase 3 (pre-market) & 4 (post-release) trials and currently starting a new phase-3 trial in 2018 as PI. Currently PI for SCORED (phase-3 trial).

Dr Kumar is a firm believer in the interface of modern technology with humanities as an adjunct in his clinical consultation to deliver effective outcomes. His clinics deliver this by the following:

Diabetes - Type 1 & 2 (up-to-date new treatments with focus on weight reduction); Pre-diabetes - Metabolic syndrome (Obesity, Glucose intolerance); Diabetes complications and care; Hypoglycaemia; Continuous Glucose Monitoring; Insulin Pumps; High Cholesterol; Hypertension (high blood pressure); Weight reduction including modern treatments of Saxenda and Gastric Balloon System).
