About me

Francis Vaz trained at The United Medical and Dental Schools of Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals. Whilst an undergraduate he intercalated a BSc(Hons) in 1991. He qualified as a doctor (MBBS) in 1994 obtaining a distinction in Clinical Therapeutics. He passed his FRCS (Gen) and FRCS (Otol) through the Royal College of Surgeons of England whilst undertaking his Basic Surgical rotation.

Francis’ ENT training was in the South Thames training scheme and he rotated through Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, The William Harvey Hospital (Ashford), The Medway Maritime Hospital and The Royal Sussex County Hospitals (Brighton). During this time he gained an excellent grounding in basic and super-specialist ENT. In his final year Francis undertook a Fellowship training year at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia. This prestigious fellowship was a superb finish to an excellent training scheme.

Presently Francis undertakes his NHS practice as an ENT/ Head and Neck Surgical Consultant at the world famous University College London Hospital. He is part of an excellent team that works well and offers a first class service to the patients they treat and also are attached to a superb academic cancer institution.
