About me
Dr Natasha Kapur qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster in 1992. She has always worked in London teaching hospitals including St Marys, The Brompton, St John’s Institute of Dermatology at St Thomas’, Royal Free and UCH. Whilst a registrar she was awarded The Geoffrey Dowling Fellowship from the British Association of Dermatologist and went to University Hospital Bern, Switzerland for research into Photodynamic Therapy. This is a non-surgical way to treat certain premaligant and malignant skin cancers. She was one of the first to set up and run Photodynamic Therapy in London teaching hospitals.
In addition to general dermatology she has a particular interest in Paediatric Dermatology and teaching. After being appointed at The Whittington Hospital she helped set up and run a weekly Community Dermatology service. She is now Clinical Lead of her department and is joint teaching Lead for Dermatology in UCL Medical students. She welcomes opportunities to improve contact between primary and secondary care.
