About me

I’ve been practising psychiatry at a consultant level for over 10 years and during that time have been fortunate enough to work at some of the leading hospitals in London, both privately and within the NHS.

I am experienced in treating a wide range of mental health conditions in adults and have close links with a numerous accredited psychologists, therapists and other specialists to provide comprehensive, tailored treatment plans.

I’m approved by all major healthcare insurers (BUPA, AXA / PPP, Aviva, Cigna, BWI, Simplyhealth, PruHealth, WPA etc.).

GPs, occupational health physicians, employers, courts, solicitors and of course patients themselves can all make referrals.

Expertise

I have particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment (both medical and psychological) of many conditions including:

Depression
Bipolar disorder
Alcohol dependence
Anxiety
Panic attacks
Stress - especially work related
Psychosis
Schizophrenia
OCD
ADHD in adults

...and many others, especially where mental health conditions overlap with physical illnesses. I frequently make second opinions about diagnosis or treatment plans and am able to treat patients sectioned under the Mental Heath Act.

I am a fully trained medical doctor, registered and licensed by the General Medical Council and Member of both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Psychiatrists. I also have enhanced DBS clearance. I am approved by the Secretary of State under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983 as having special expertise in the assessment of mental disorder. This means I can be the consultant for patients who are detained (sectioned) under the Mental Health Act, and am an 'Approved Clinician'.

I’m also trained and experienced in preparing detailed medical reports for solicitors and courts.
