About me
Dr Nilesh Morar is a Consultant Adult and Paediatric Dermatologist that provides a professional diagnostic, and therapeutic service for your skin. He provides a rapid access service.
He has a long history of academic excellence. Tatler Doctors Guide has recognised him as one of the top dermatologists and a 'walking textbook of dermatology.' He graduated cum laude at the top of his class in South Africa in 1993. He broke the University record by achieving 23 distinctions, 10 certificates of merit and 15 awards during his six years of medical training. He has worked in Dermatology since 1996 completing his specialisation with distinction in 2000. He obtained a Master's thesis in Dermatology in 2001.
He was then invited to study at the University of Oxford and was awarded the prestigious Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Training Fellowship. He completed a PhD at Oxford at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics in 2007. He studied the molecular genetics of eczema, a common skin condition. He was the lead of the Department of Dermatology in a leading London teaching hospital, the Chelsea and Westminster. He teaches medical students, dermatology trainees and GPs.
He was Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital and was Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Brompton Hospital.
His philosophy is to use the best evidence-based medicine to treat skin disease which he takes very seriously. He feels no skin disease is trivial.
