About me

Professor Jaydip Ray PhD, MS, FRCS

Prof. Jaydip Ray is Consultant ENT Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Professor of Otology / Neurotology at University of Sheffield. He completed his higher surgical training in West Midlands with fellowship experience in Cambridge, Australia and USA. His PhD was on implantable hearing solutions.

He is the Training Programme Director for ENT in Yorkshire & Humber Deanery and is the academic representatiove to the SAC. He has an active role in teaching and training and is involved in supervising and examining PhD, MD, MSc and BMedSci students on various research projects. He lectures widely and is involved in several national and international courses.

He is also the communications lead for ENT Clinical Research Network of NIHR. His main research interests include Complex Hearing loss, Implantable Hearing Solutions and Management of Balance disorders. He has been the chief investigator on several multicentre research projects.
