About me
Dr Abhijit Chaudhuri (DM, MD, PhD, FACP, FRCP, FEAN) is a senior neurologist over 25 years' of experience as a consultant in the NHS.
He previously worked as a senior lecturer in clinical neurosciences and honorary consultant neurologist in the University of Glasgow (July 2000-April 2005). He was a consultant neurologist at Queen's Hospital (BHR University Hospitals Trust) in Greater London (April 2005-November 2025) where he held the positions of clinical lead in neurology and Clinical Director of neurosciences. He was a member of the Clinical Reference Group of NHS England (2013-15).
Abhijit is a clinician-scientist member of the multiple sclerosis, neuroinflammation and neurological infections in the European Academy of Neurology. He has been an educator for the past three decades, and until recently, held the role of the Chair of Specialty Certificate Examination Board in neurology at the Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians. He is an external adviser to the Scottish Medicine Consortium.
