About me

Mr Sivaraman is a fellowship trained consultant orthopaedic spine surgeon with excellent training, having various overseas visiting fellowships.

Completion of his higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics was achieved from the prestigious Percival Pott training program at St Bartholomew's Hospital and The Royal London Hospital. He completed his training at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.

Upon completion of his training Mr Sivaraman actively participating in training of medical students and orthopaedic specialist trainees at St Bartholomew's Hospital and The Royal London Hospital.

Training under both orthopaedic and neurosurgeons has given Mr Sivaraman an in-depth understanding of the spine and he is able to deal with all aspects concerning back and neck pain.

He performs over 500 surgical procedures and spinal injections per year. Some of the operations Mr Sivaraman performs are:

Spinal fusion (minimally invasive); Discectomy (minimally invasive and endoscopic); Decompression; Interspinous spacers; Implants; Vertebral augmentation Spinal injections.

Mr Sivaraman is a strong believer in active conservative management, he works within a specialised multidisciplinary collaboration and is excellent at educating and assisting his patients in the decision making process when considering treatment options.

Surgical Interests: Spinal disorders; spinal injections; cervical disc replacement; balloon kyphoplasty for vertebral compression fracture; inter-spinous devices; spine stabilisation; coccydynia (Coccyx pain).
