About me
Mr Hart is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in lower limb arthroplasty and complex hip and knee conditions. He completed his undergraduate medical training in London, followed by SHO training in Oxford and Bristol. He then returned to Shropshire as a Registrar at the renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Gobowen, gaining further experience through posts in Hereford, Stafford, Shrewsbury and Stoke?on?Trent.
With a clear interest in lower limb joint replacement, Mr Hart undertook advanced fellowship training at Wrightington Hospital in Lancashire - the birthplace of Charnley's modern cemented hip replacement. This fellowship provided extensive experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty. After successfully completing the Intercollegiate Board Exams, he went on to further fellowships in internationally recognised centres of excellence in New York, Toronto and Vancouver.
His specialist interests include young adult arthroplasty, alternative bearing technologies, reduced?incision surgery and computer?navigated joint replacement. He also has expertise in knee arthroscopy, forefoot surgery and the management of post?traumatic lower limb conditions.
Mr Hart joined New Cross Hospital in September 2006 and was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in January 2007, where he continues to provide high?quality, patient?centred care.
