About me
I qualified in medicine from the Royal Free Hospital, London in 1993. My specialist training in haematology was based in South West London on the Royal Marsden Hospital/ St George's Hospital rotation, where I also did my MD research in Stem Cell mobilisation. I was appointed as a Consultant Haematologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's Hospital in 2004 and was clinical Lead for the service between 2008 and 2017. I am the clinical lead for the myeloma service and apheresis services and have expertise in managing haematological malignancies including myeloma/ plasma cells disorders, leukaemia, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative disorders and lymphoproliferative disorders. I strongly believe in holistic care and currently chair a charity which provides supportive care treatments to patients with life threatening or life limiting illnesses
Areas of interest
My areas of interest in haematology include myeloma and plasma cell disorders, lymphoproliferative disorders including chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, leukaemias including chronic myeloid leukaemia, myeloproliferative disorders, myelodysplasia and general haematology
