About me

Mr Patrick El-Jassar is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon practicing at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital. Mr El-Jassar qualified in 1992 from the University of Liverpool and undertook subsequent training in both the UK and Australia. He covers ENT conditions in adults and paediatrics, including nasal blockage, vertigo, hearing loss, and snoring problems. He has a particular interest in ear and balance problems, rhinoplasty surgery and paediatric conditions including tonsillitis and glue ear.

His approach involves listening to patients symptoms and concerns, as well as considering any other medical conditions they have. He then uses his expertise and investigations to make a diagnosis.

He always takes care to explain the patient’s condition and proposed treatment plan and answers any questions in an understandable and straightforward way. This helps patients to build trust in him when he determines with them the most appropriate treatment and when performing surgery. He has carried out hundreds of operations each year and therefore has developed a high level of expertise with excellent surgical results.

As well as working as the Lead Clinician for the Hull ENT department, he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School. He is a also an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has undertaken charitable trips to Nepal and Bangladesh to perform ENT surgery. He is a founding member of the British Society of Rhinoplasty Surgeons.
