About me
Mr Leye Ajayi is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Clinical lead for Urology at Royal Free London. He has a specialist interest in minimally invasive surgery for urinary tract stone disease, in particular Holmium laser technology and complex stone management where he performs Supine percutaneous nephrolithotomy (s-PCNL) and endoscopic combined infrarenal surgery (ECIRS) and mini supine-PCNL. His general urology practice focuses on andrology, urinary incontinence, rapid access prostate (PSA) and haematuria (blood in urine) assessments. He offers the most contemporary minimally invasive surgery for benign prostatic enlargement in the form of Aquablation therapy. He was awarded an MD for his research into the molecular biology of prostate cancer and has publications in this field and that of urinary tract stone disease. His medical school and specialist urology training took place at a number of teaching hospitals in London. His fellowship training took place in Brisbane, Australia.
Mr Leye Ajayi is the course director of an International Masterclasses in complex stone diseases with extensive experience in performing PCNL in supine position. He is an associate member of the European Association of Urology Section of Endourology (EAU-Endourology). He teaches and demonstrates surgical procedure live across Europe and beyond for the European School of Urology (ESU). He has functioned as a moderator on several occasions for the Journal of Endourology podcasts on Stone disease, On the faculty of the Soci�t� Internationale d'Urologie, eGrandRound on Urinary Stone Management. He is a reviewer of manuscripts submitted for publications in the American Journal of Urology and the British journal of Urology international (BJUi). His international presence and credentials ensure he stays at the cutting edge of Urology, which translates to the care he gives his patients.
