About me

Hi my name is Melanie and I am currently working with adults online using zoom and skype. I am a chartered and registered counselling psychologist who understands that coming for therapy is a very personal and private experience. In terms of what to expect from therapy we will begin by exploring your difficulties together with a view to identifying strategies to bring about change. I have many years experience working in the NHS and private sectors. I am registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS and RAPPS) as an accredited supervisor and have full accreditation with the (BABCP).

I can provide consultation, therapy and supervision for students undertaking professional doctorate programmes. My background in the NHS and academic settings informs the integration of evidence based approaches to my practice. I have an interest in Cognitive Behavioural approaches including Compassionate Focused Therapy and third wave approaches. I can offer individual therapy for short and longer term working. I carefully plan therapy to suit your individual needs and am fully accredited by the HCPC, BPS and BABCP. I abide by the ethical frameworks of good practice for all of these organisations.
