About me

I qualified from Manchester Medical School in August 1993 and spent a further 7 years training in the North west and completed my MDT Thesis in Interstitial Lung Disease at the North West Lung Centre in Wythenshawe, Manchester. I moved to London in 2000 to join the North West Thames Training rotation and spent time working at the Royal Brompton Hospital. I have been a Consultant Chest Physician since May 2006 initially working at Hinchingbrooke and Papworth hospitals. I moved to Royal Papworth Hospital full time in August 2019 to focus my career on Interstitial Lung Diseases. I became the Clinical Lead for the service in September 2020. I have interests in clinical trial work and am a keen educator for regional respiratory trainees.
