About me

Dr Ahmed Haroun is a highly experienced Consultant Anaesthetist based in the Derby area, with over two decades of clinical expertise in delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care. Appointed as a Consultant in 2006, he splits his time between his senior NHS role at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust and his private practice at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital. Dr Haroun specialises in anaesthesia for major orthopaedic procedures, trauma surgery, and advanced regional anaesthesia blocks designed to enhance post-operative pain relief. His patient-centred philosophy prioritises safety, meticulous clinical preparation, and clear communication, helping patients feel calm and well-informed prior to their surgical procedures.
