About me

I am a fully trained knee specialist treating the wide variety of knee problems. I have an interest in treating sportsmen and women of all ages. I am a co -founder of the Gloucestershire Knee clinic and have been practicing orthopaedic knee surgery for 15 years as a consultant. I am passionate about my work and take huge pride in being very focussed on listening to patients goals and helping them to achieve them. I work closely with my colleagues in the Gloucestershire Knee Clinic and by working together as a team we can provide a consistent service throughout the week. A team approach ensures excellent clinical governance and really allows us to drive up quality in the healthcare we provide.

After my skiing injury, some people told me â€œthe surgery would be worse than the injuryâ€. Nothing could be further from the truth. I was very well looked after by Mr Gleeson and the team at Nuffield Cheltenham and have recovered very quickly. The post op physio (Laura) has also been superb and very encouraging. I was also a little concerned having surgery during the Covid pandemic, but I didnâ€™t need to worry. The whole experience was very professional and reassuring throughout. I cannot Thankyou enough I have been treated with the upmost respect and care throughout my two knee operations. It was explained to me thouroughly and my questions answered. I do believe I wouldnâ€™t have been as good as I am without the care I was given during and after the operations. I recieved help straight away when I had a problem after my operation and everything was sorted out immediately. The physio package I had for several months after my op was to me essential I would not have been able to do the things I can without it. It takes a lot of hard work but itâ€™s so worth it. I can now walk even further than I could for years before I had both my kneeâ€™s done I would highly recommend the op to anyone who is suffering with the pain as I was. Although I am 67 I am now back working 2 days a week.
