About me
Donald Adam originally qualified from the University of Edinburgh, in 1990, and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, in 1995. He was then awarded an MD for research examining blood coagulation in aortic aneurysm repair at University of Edinburgh.
He continued his extensive training in Vascular and Endovascular surgery in Edinburgh, Leicester and Adelaide, Australia, before being appointed Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Heart of England Hospitals in Birmingham, in February, 2004.
Donald Adam offers the full range of treatment options for arterial and venous disease. He has specialist expertise is endovascular aortic aneurysm repair – training other surgeons in this technique across Europe since 2009, and also has expertise in keyhole treatment of patients with varicose veins on a walk-in walk-out basis. He is a member of the Vascular Society of Great Britain & Ireland (VSGBI) and the British Society of Endovascular Therapy (BSET).
