This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr. Atul Varma is a senior consultant Ophthalmologist and Head of Clinical Service for Ophthalmology at The MidYorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust in Yorkshire.
He has recently done 1 year working at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and STARS in Brisbane, Australia
Following his graduation and obtaining MBBS, he went on to complete his Master's degree in Ophthalmology. He has also done Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Ophthalmology and got a Fellowship from the Royal College of Ophthalmologist (FRCOphth.) London. He has been working in Ophthalmology for 25 years and has been a Consultant in UK for more than 15 years. His subspecialist Interest includes Complex Cataract surgery, Micro-incision Cataract surgery, Refractive Lens surgery, Medical Retina and Neuro-ophthalmology.
Mr. Varma has extensive surgical experience and has performed almost 10,000 Cataract surgical procedures. He is a trainer on the Microsurgical Skills course of The Royal College of Ophthalmologist. He is also co-organizer for the Advanced Phaco Study day for trainees and trainer on Cataract Advanced Training and Simulation course. He has presented regularly at a number of National and International conferences including the ESCRS (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery). He has also been an invited guest speaker in international conferences. He has a number of paper, poster, and video presentation in various conferences. He has been co-author for a number of research paper published in International Journals.
In private sector, he has been providing a comprehensive service with an aim to provide personal care using the latest surgical techniques and intraocular lenses some of which are not available on the NHS.
He has also been part of charitable mission in Cambodia with the Khmer Sight foundation providing his surgical skills to the needy people of Cambodia.
Outside work he enjoys spending time with wife and son, reading and learning new Computer skills.
