About me
Dr Roman hails from South Africa where he trained in General Paediatrics. He moved to the UK in 1998 and was trained as a Paediatric Cardiologist in the UK qualifying in 2003. He went on to perform a cardiac imaging fellowship in Toronto, Canada. His clinical research has focussed on applying advanced imaging techniques to improve diagnosis.
He is skilled in high quality diagnostic imaging including transoesophageal echo for interventions, 3D echo, and fetal echo. In addition, he regularly performs cardiac MRI studies on children and young adults with congenital heart disease.
Dr Roman's expertise is in diagnosis, clinical management and formulating a surgical plan for his patients. He is responsible for counselling families, deciding the timing of surgery and formulating a long-term treatment plan. His patients enjoy a holistic personalised approach to their care and he strives to ensure that the best possible outcome is achieved every step of the way.
