About me
I moved up to Bath in 2011 to take up a consultant post in the Dermatology Unit at The Royal United Hospital, Bath. I am currently the lead for Skin Cancer Service within the Dermatology Unit in Bath.
Prior to that I worked as a full-time dermatology consultant at The Royal Cornwall Hospital for 7 years.
I undertook my dermatology training in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge and whilst there undertook a PhD in the investigation of the molecular biology of Human Papillomaviruses.
Areas of interest
Investigation and management of changing skin lesions and moles of concern.
Investigation and management of general medical skin disorders (psoriasis, eczema, acne, urticaria, generalised itch).
Surgical excision (removal) of suspect cancerous skin lesions (non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancer). Appropriate surgical removal of benign or suspect skin lesions including cysts and lipoma removal (less than 2cm in size).
Cryotherapy treatment of warts and pre-cancerous skin lesions.
I have particular interest investigating and treating vulval disorders.
Please note that I am not a cosmetic dermatologist so will not be able to advise on cosmetic procedures.
