About me

Dr Hanna’s main subspecialty interest is urogynaecology and utero vaginal prolapse

Dr Hanna performs procedures such as Burch Colpo-suspension, Aldridge fascial slings and Autologous Fascial slings, Kelly's Bladder neck buttressing and bladder neck support, as well as Cystoscopy for incontinence.

He also performs Pelvic floor repair and vaginal hysterectomy for prolapse (he does not use Mesh at all in Vaginal prolapse surgery) Sacro colpopexy, sacrospinous Fixation for major degrees of prolapse, and fitting of various pessaries for conservative management of prolapse and dealing with vulval disease.

General gynaecology

Dr Hanna performs abdominal hysterectomy surgery, and benign ovarian cyst surgery, Laparoscopy and minor laparoscopic procedures, Hysteroscopy and Endometrial Ablation and polyp removal, cautery of cervix , Laparoscopic sterilisation and Endometriosis assessment and treatment.

He has publications in the treatment of urinary incontinence and presentations in international meeting IUGA &ICS.

Teaching

Dr Hanna teaches undergraduate medical students at Manchester University, and junior doctors training in his hospital.

His proudest achievement is the introduction of the Sacrospinous fixation procedure to his hospital, and receiving an Above and Beyond Award from the hospital.

Dr Hanna is very proud of his Charity work in Africa, teaching and giving workshops, add operating in incontinence and urogynaecology.
