About me

With many years experience practicing as a Clinical Psychologist Mr Victor Levenson has a wide range of skills and experience supporting individuals with a variety of mental health and emotional difficulites..

Victor completed an undergraduate Psychology degree in Scotland, after which he spent time working as an Assistant Psychologist before undertaking post-graduate training and becoming a full member of the Division of Clinical Psychology of The British Psychological Society. He began his post –qualification career in the NHS in Glasgow and obtained his first NHS Consultant post in Hertfordshire in 1992 where he was promoted to Head of Learning Disability Psychology for the countywide Learning Disability and Mental Health Trust. In 2003 he relocated to take up a Consultant Clinical Psychologist job in a private hospital where he was promoted to Clinical Director and Hospital Director. He then moved to take up a post as Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead in Wales providing specialist services on behalf of Local Authorities and the NHS supporting adults and children with special needs including those with severe emotional and developmental difficulties including autism spectrum conditions. He was subsequently asked to develop the same services in the Midlands. He then moved to take up a position as a Director for a Children’s Charity providing services to a broad spectrum of children and their families with special needs and the development of a specialist autism service.

He has an approachable, friendly and collaborative working style while always working with a high degree of professionalism and strong ethical values. In his private practice he works with children and adults where issues arising may involve mental health problems, behavioural concerns, neurodevelopmental disabilities trauma and post-traumatic stress, Attachment Disorder/Difficulties, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders..
