About me

Mr Pravin Menezes is a Consultant Urologist at New Victoria Hospital who has 15 years experience as senior consultant urologist in the UK. He trained in London at the ‘Institute of Urology and Nephrology’ and at ‘St George’s Hospital’. He did research at ‘The Bristol Urological Institute & Southmead Hospital’ and filed the ‘MRC stone study’ report. His NHS practice is at Kingston Hospital.

Mr Menezes specialises in the diagnosis and comprehensive management of stone disease. He offers the best tailor made option for a given stone problem including ESWL, Ureteroscopy (& laser), PCNL and medical therapy.

Mr Menezes also specialises in guiding patients appropriately who have an elevated PSA but no proof of prostate cancer. This approach of his, stems from the fact that 5 out of 6 men, suffer from benign enlargement of prostate.

Blood in urine is a common symptom. Mr Menezes investigates this symptom satisfactorily and provides an astute explanation.

Mr Menezes is an accomplished open, laparoscopic and robotic surgeon. He is part of a medical charity that promotes western medicine in an underdeveloped part of the world. He takes that opportunity to train aspiring urologists in the less fortunate parts of the world.
