About me
Jim qualified at Cambridge University and moved into a London training scheme. He completed his six year training programme in urology in the West London teaching hospitals and gained valuable experience in urological cancer and minimally invasive access during a laparoscopic fellowship year in Sydney, Australia.
Jim is a robotic pioneer having started in 2008
He has over 20 years experience in Nerve-sparing Prostatectomy performing over 1000 prostatectomies and one of the largest series of Robotic prostatectomies with NeuroSAFE and is a high volume robotic partial nephrectomy surgeon with over 300 cases
He has a large experience in other robotic procedures ha I hung performed over 1200 cases he also has experience in the laser treatment of stones and also performs vasectomy reversal with 89% success of getting sperm back

He has always been active in both genetic and clinical research into urological cancer and was awarded a Royal College of Surgeons Research Fellowship for his work on PAX genes in urological cancer.
Jim has produced national guidelines in consenting for urological surgery.
Teaching surgery has always been a passion for Jim and he is a National Proctor teaching Robotic urology around the country. He currently runs a Fellowship training scheme for robotic urology which was the first in the country to be recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in November 2012.
He is the Clinical Lead for Urology for the East of England Cancer Alliance
He served for 5 years as an executive member of British Association of Surgeons Oncology subgroup
He specialises in Nerve sparing robotic prostatectomy with NeuroSAFE and has delivered this in NHS and private for over a decade
