About me
Dr Aftab Khan is a Consultant Physician and Cardiologist with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Dr Khan completed his speciality training in Devon and London before being appointed Consultant at Tameside General in 2002.
As is the nature of working in a busy district, Dr Khan has gained extensive consultation experience in a wide range of general medical and cardiological conditions. He was awarded Fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology in 2003 and is actively involved in the teaching of doctors. He has actively been involved in research in sinus node disease and pacemakers. He is amongst a select group of cardiologists to gain BCSI accreditation to perform CT angiograms.
