About me
Dr M Tariq Khan trained in London and qualified in 1993. Dr Khan was appointed to a consultant podiatrist position at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, University College London Hospitals NHS Trust in 2003. In 1998 he was appointed Consultant podiatrist within the Dermatology teams at Barts Health NHS Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. One of the first such appointments in the country.
Primarily he is a specialist in the function of the foot and treats a wide range of dermatological and musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders of the Lower Limb.
Although a Podiatric specialist, he also is able to treat, investigate or provide advice on all problems that can affect the foot and ankle. He has a specialist interest in viral warts and rare skin disorders affecting the feet. He also uses a more natural approach to management of bunions and plantar fasciitis and other MSK foot disorders. He treats both adults and Children.
Dr Khan is a regulated podiatrist by the Health Care Professions Council and a board member of the Faculty of Podiatric medicine the body responsible for post graduate Podiatric education. He is also a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). He currently also hold the positions of Clinical Professor (Adjunct) in the Departments of Podiatric medicine and Orthopaedic, Temple University, Philadelphia, and Honorary senior lecturer in dermatology, St George Medical School, University of New South Wales, Australia.
Dr Khan has lectured at National and International Podiatric, Dermatology and Sports Medicine Conferences. Widely respected both within and outside of his profession he brings a modern evidence based approach to the treatment for his patients.
Dr Khan does not undertake bone surgery as part of his practice.
