About me

Mr Julian Livingstone trained in London and qualified in 1990. Mr Livingstone was appointed to a Consultant position within the orthopaedic team at Barnet & Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust in 2002. One of the first such appointments in the country. Since then Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals have become part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and Mr Livingstone continues to be involved with the development of services on all three sites.

Primarily he is a specialist in the function of the foot during the gait cycle and treats a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders of the Lower Limb arising from foot function.

Although a musculoskeletal specialist, he also is able to treat, investigate or provide advice on all problems that can affect the foot and ankle. He has a specialist interest in the developing foot of children but provides care effectively from the birth to old age.

Mr Livingstone is a Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of The Royal College of Physcicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and is the London Regional advisor and Examiner for the College. .In 2016 he was elected to the Board of The Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow. He is an external QIPP advisor for the National Institute of Clinical Evidence (N.I.C.E) and an AHP advisor for the Department of Health. A Fellow of the College of Podiatry( Medicine) he is also a member of The American Podiatric Medical Association(APMA), British Foot & Ankle Orthopaedic Association(BOFAS) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons(AAOS)

Mr Livingstone has lectured at National and International Podiatric Conferences. He lectures at Master level University courses and is involved in the training of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Widely respected both within and outside of his profession he strives to bring the best evidence based modern treatments available for his patients
